10 reasons why you can not NOT fall in love with Hardin Scott from Anna Todds After books

Ok so. There are moments in our lives, that seems to define us. Mine was discovering the After series by Anna Todd. Having read alle five books in the series in less than 2,5 weeks and seen the teaser trailer (HERE) and the trailer (HERE) a million times, I think I can conclude, that I haven’t fangirled this hard over a book and upcoming movie since Stephanie Meyers’ Twilight-series. The amazing thing is, that Anna started writing the After series on Wattpad, as a fan-fiction about Harry Styles and One Direction. But it turned out to be so much more. A worldwide phenomenon, read by over 1 billion people and now turning in to a major motion picture – After is surely here for good. For those of you who haven’t heard about them the book and movie, here’s the resumé:

Tessa is a good girl with a sweet, reliable boyfriend back home. She’s got direction, ambition, and a mother who’s intent on keeping her that way. But she’s barely moved into her freshman dorm when she runs into Hardin. With his tousled brown hair, cocky British accent, tattoos, and lip ring, Hardin is cute and different from what she’s used to. But he’s also rude—to the point of cruelty, even. For all his attitude, Tessa should hate Hardin. And she does—until she finds herself alone with him in his room. Something about his dark mood grabs her, and when they kiss it ignites within her a passion she’s never known before. He’ll call her beautiful, then insist he isn’t the one for her and disappear again and again. Despite the reckless way he treats her, Tessa is compelled to dig deeper and find the real Hardin beneath all his lies. He pushes her away again and again, yet every time she pushes back, he only pulls her in deeper. Tessa already has the perfect boyfriend. So why is she trying so hard to overcome her own hurt pride and Hardin’s prejudice about nice girls like her? Unless…could this be love?

So without further ado, here is my 10 reasons why you can not NOT fall in love with Hardin Scott ♡

The tats
Okay, so even if your not that into tattoos and tattooed guys, you can’t not NOT love Hardins. Most of them are small, the biggest being the ship on his right back shoulder or the wither tree on his stomach. But what about the tree emijo apes at his lower arm or the infity sign at his wrist or the letters at his fingers? It’s just too damn hot. 

The attitude
The “I-dont-give-a-shit-but-I-can-make-you-love-me-attitude” is just. Well. I dont have the words. Its a cliche and some might argument: why is it always the bad boy with the attitude that attracts the innocent girls, but I mean. Come on. We alle love us some Mr. Darcy. An obnoxious but beautiful man, which we can at first hate, but then he makes us wanna throw our panties and love him, and he turns out to be a real HERO. 

The eyes
In both literature and movies, the tall dark boy with the green eyes has always been af mayor turn on. Suffice to say, Hardin aka Hero Fiennes Tiffin got that one. The way he stares at Tessa with those eyes its just. Im dying. Do I have to mention I got a man at home with green eyes? *giggles*

The darkness
Stefan Salvatore, Dylan McKay, Heathcliff Earnshaw. Do I have to say more? Theres just something alluring and attractive about a man, who has a darkness in him. We saw it when Elena fell for Stefan, when Brenda fell for Dylan, and Catherine for Heathcliff? Is it just about wanting to save the man and make his world brighter, or what is it? 

The classics
I mean. Find you a guy that reads Austen, Hemingway, Brontë and Fitzgerald and keeps first editions of them on his shelf. And who likes to discuss them with you in literature class? And who gives you a Reader with alle your favourite books for birthday? How can you not fall in love with that? You can read about all the classics mentioned in the After-series right HERE. 

The muscles
Have we ever not loved a toned and beautiful body? I think not. Hero as Hardin is just the perfect guy. I can’t really describe it. You just have to watch the trailer.

The jaw clenching
Who made that up? Who decided: this is a great way to make male actors look angry and sexy at the same time? I dont know, but I do know, that Hero Fiennes Tiffin is amazing at it. Other beautiful jaw clenchers: Tom Shelby in Peaky Blinders, Paul Wasley in Vampire Diaries and Channing Tatum in well, everything. 

The humor
Although Hardin is mostly brooding and not smiling, his dark humor is one of the things, that makes Tessa fall in love with him. And we understand. Just watch the moving back scene in the trailer, when Tessa says: “I think we need som distance”. 

The anger
While some might think this is a negative side, and yes Hardin is so annoying sometimes with his jealousy and the violence, but he looks so damn hot, when he’s angry, and yes well, I just think I might have a sincere weekness for the dark tortured souls. A girl loves her Heathcliff right? 

The soft side
Hardin is mostly angry or arrogant, but when Tessa gets under his skins and he falls for her, his feelings are amazing. When he tells her: You are stunning. And in what will probably be one of the last scenes in the movie, where Tessa runs away from him and he’s standing in the rain, all broken and sorry, calming his hands through his hair. Like. I’m gonna die.
