Jeg kan umuligt være den eneste Outlander-fan, der hoppede af glæde, med hjertet helt oppe i halsen og tårer i øjenkrogene, da STARZ for godt og vel halvanden times tid siden ENDELIG offentliggjorde den fulde 2 minutters trailer til den længe ventede sæson 3 af den populære, historiske tv-serie Outlander. Hvis du ikke er heeelt med på, hvad Outlander er, og hvorfor det er så fantastisk, så læs lige mit indlæg “Dinna fash, Sassenach – the Outlander hype” først! Tv-serien er nemlig baseret på forfatter Diana Gabaldons, indtil videre, ni fantastiske bøger Outlander, Dragonfly in Amber, Voyager, Drumms of Autumn, The Fiery Cross, A Breath of Snow and Ashes, An Echo in The Bone og Written in My Own Hearts Blood, hvoraf første og anden sæson, som du kan se på Netflix og Viaplay, baserer sig på de to første bøger, og sæson tre, der starter på Viaplay den 11. Claire is back in her own time, the 20th century, trying to create a life with Frank and her daughter Brianna. Named after his grandfather Jamie Fraser’s father, Brian Fraser.
Brianna is Claire and Jamies lovechild, but due to the upcoming battle of Culludon, Jamie forced Claire to go through the stones, in order to save herself and their unborn child.
As bookreaders will know, the marriage between Claire and Frank is very much distressed, due to the fact, that Claires heart will always belong to Jamie. As a result, she turns cold on Frank, leaving him to seek tenderness in other ladies beds.
Book three, Voyager, tells us about Briannas upbringing in high class Boston, as the daughter of a succesful surgeon and a professor. Her entire life, she has been told, that her name is Brianna Randall, her father being Frank Randall.
This is just one of the many fights between Claire and Frank. Here she is telling him, that he forced her to leave everything, that truly mattered to her behind. And she hates him for it, as we can all clearly gather.
Cause somewhere back in the 18th century in the Scottish highlands, more specifically Lallybroach, Jamie Fraser is a live, and finally returning home.
And as bookreaders will also know, Jenny Fraser, Jamies sister, makes a LOOOOT of very bad choices. This above is just one of them..
Jamie and Claire are separated by time for more then 20 years, in which Jamie is in Ardsmuir prison for about seven of them, where he meets this lovely fella Lord John Grey. I have a kind of love/hate shipping going on for those to, due to my excitement in general when it comes to homoerotic relationships, but also a bit of hate, because Jamies is so obviously Claires man.
As we, and Claire, Brianna and Roger, learned in the ending of season 2, Jamie is very much still alive after the battle of Culloden, and then the search begins.. Roger is by the way, Reverend Wakefields adoptive son. The Reverend being the man, Claire and Frank visits a lot in Inverness in 1945, just before Claire goes through the stones.
After years of being in prison, and in a cave (again read the books), Jamies finds himself lost, believing Claire is dead, and that he will never see her again. He ends op in bed with this one above. Yeees, it’s bad, but it get’s a LOOOOT worse.. Read the books! (Voyager).

Im really just hating on Frank. Sorry to say. He still reminds me too much of Captain Black Jack Randall (read the books)..

Brianna and Roger <3 can’t wait to see this relationsship develop..

And so another journey begins for Claire. Going back to Edinburgh, Scotland, to see Jamie.
